NOTE: Ann in the same letter has a suggestion of marriage date and place but is not sure and suggests I do not record it. It is 4 July 1738 at Milton Malsor but it is far from sure that this is this John's.

NOTE: see letter from Ann Garfield 22 Jul 1998 which says he is not the child of John Clarke and Elizabeth Kingston, but of a William & Elizabeth whose details she does not have. This should be John & Elizabeth from parish records.
