NOTE based on the following note I placed him as a child of Henry Boffin and his wife Caroline, but the above census record places him as a child of John Henry!
KNOWN first from a marriage record and a grave. At the marriage he is stated to be son of Henry, a labourer, of Shutlanger. He was also a labourer himself. On the grave is aheadstone and kerb which lists his death date and age 52. "So quick and sudden was the call, Without farewell he left us all". There are also records of two females, Olive 1936-1995 and Mary who died 26 May 1949 aged 21. (see no.208 in book).
NOTE Cliff Baughen of England says his birth was registered in the June quarter of 1894. He also says that the Olive was the wife of his son, Arthur J.
NOTE he was one from Shutlanger who finished the first War as a private and was listed at a Peace Celebration dinner given by Lieutenant-Colonel and Mrs H A Vernon at Stoke Park on 18 Jul 1919 for the combatants of Stoke Bruerne and Shutlanger.
