Setting up Internet Mail on your Computer System

You can either elect to recreate your user account on your system or check the existing settings. We suggest that if you elect to check existing settings and it does not find / fix the problem you should opt to recreate the email account before looking further. This sometimes corrects software problems on the computer.

In either case you will need to know your "username" and "password" before proceeding. This is located on the your initial connection confirmation or from our Support Desk.

To create / recreate an email account on your system

Open the Internet Mail software - there is no need to be online at the time
Click on the "Mail" button
Click on "Read Mail"
Click on the "Mail" Menu button and then "Options"
Click on the "Server" tab Next to "Name" type your real name
Next to "Email Address" type your "username"@tech2u.com.au
Next to "Outgoing Mail Server" type mail.tech2u.com.au
Next to "Incoming Mail Server" type mail.tech2u.com.au
Next to "POP3 Account" type your "username"
Next to "Password" type your "password"
Click on the "Connections" tab
Click the buton next to "I use a modem to access my email"
In the "Dial-Up Network Settings" select ISPDR
Click "OK"
Your Internet Mail should now be ready to send and retrieve email

If this does not solve the problem we need to look elsewhere.
