Saving Mail

To save a message you have received, follow the steps below.

Netscape Communicator 4.0

 

Save In a Folder

  1. Go to the Inbox window.
  2. Click on the message.
  3. Select Message/File.
  4. Choose a folder from the list that appears, or select File/New Folder to create a new folder.

Save as Text

  1. Go to the Inbox window.
  2. Click on the message.
  3. Select File/Save As.
  4. Select the file type as Plain Text (*.txt) and click on Save.

 

Microsoft Outlook Express

Save In a Folder

  1. Go to the Outlook Express window.
  2. Click on the message header and drag it into a folder on the left side of the window, or select Edit/Move to Folder. The message will be moved to that folder.
  3. Select File/Folder/New to create a new folder if necessary. Type in its name. Then click and drag the message into this folder Save as Text
  4. Go to the Inbox window.
  5. Click on the message.
  6. Select File/Save As.
  7. Select the file type as Text Files (*.txt) , enter your file name and click on Save.
