Changing Your Computer Settings

When you want to add or remove programs from your computer, or change the way your computer looks, or change the Windows 98 default values for language, mouse buttons, double click speed etc you go to the control panel.

This is where you will find the programs that allow you to make these changes.

• Select Start/Settings/Control Panel. The control panel window will appear on your desktop.
  

• Locate the icons displayed below. We will be using these in the following exercises.
