Shutting Down

When you are ready to leave your computer and turn it off, follow the steps below to shut down safely.

Save and close all the documents you have been working on. Close all application programs. Click on the Start button. Click on Shutdown.

The following window will appear on your screen.

Click on the option Shut down the computer to select it. The button next to the option will be black Click on the Yes button. Your computer will now shut down. A message may appear on the screen for example Please wait while unsaved data is copied to disk. Wait until the message appears: It is now safe to turn off your computer. Press the Power button on your computer to turn it off.
