Changing the Language on Your Computer There are two icons in the Control Panel that you have to go into to change the language that Windows NT will use with your other application programs. These are the Regional Settings and Keyboard icons.
- Double click on the Regional Settings icon. The Regional Settings Properties dialog box will be displayed.

This is the box where you specify how you want the date, the time, your numbers etc to look in Windows NT and in your application programs.
The Regional Settings tab is where you choose the language that you want to use. The date, time, number and currency formats for Windows NT and your application programs will be taken from this language.
- Click on the black arrow next to the box on the Regional Settings tab. You will see a list of all the formats you can choose from.
- Select German (Standard). Click on the other tabs to see how Dates, Numbers, Currency etc appear in the German language. Note: You will be asked if you want to reset your computer. Answer No to this question.
- Choose some of the other formats available and see what they look like.
- Select English (Australian). Look at how this will appear on your computer by looking at the other tabs.
