Page Borders A page border goes all the way around the page. To set a page border for your document, follow the steps below.
- Open the document you want to put a border around.
- Select Format/Borders and Shading.
- Click on the Page Border tab.
- Choose what sort of border you want around your document.
- Click OK. The border you have chosen will appear around every page on your document.
- Open the file Marianne Dashwood.
- Select Format/Borders and Shading and click on the Page Border tab. The following dialog box will appear.

- Click on the down arrow next to the Art option and scroll through the available borders.
- Select the butterfly border by clicking on it.
- Click on OK. Your file will appear with a border of purple butterflies around it.
- Save and close the file.
