DATA from Rosalind Dunning. She records an apprecticeship record for Charles Caves son of John Caves in 1706. It is not sure that this record is for the husband of Ann but it is possible. His parentage of the other children is known from the baptismal records.
NOTE Bob Strong (email May 2004) states "A will proved 29 January 1713 of John Caves alias Smith of Roade, I don not quite understand the terms in this will but, he mentions Robert Warden , Richard Light, Christopher Sauls of Dunstonhall and Thomas Hanslop of the same place. I give to my Sarah Caves alias Smith fourty pounds which is in the hands of her Uncle Henry Smith. I also give to my two sons William and George Caves alias Smith ......and to my youngest son Robert Caves alias Smith.... I give to Charles Caves alias Smith."
