BIRTH date from Paul Turner (email Mar 2007. The birth certificate shows her birth in Sells Park, Bulwell, Notts. The father is listed as John Thomason, deceased carter, though he had been dead for three eyars. The mother reported the birth one month later and made her mark. Paul wonders whether the date of birth is given wrongly by the mother as she did not register it until much too late to be legal. The age in the 1901 census agrees with this, but not the age given in the earlier censuses.
