NOTE Elizabeth Jeffery in an email Sept 2002 says "I spoke to people in S/B who remember her. She brought 2 girls back fron Nigeria with her who were sent packing when they got too involved with the village boys! She also provided mince pies with real cream and not the top of the milk which were considered a luxury by the lady I spoke to. She also entertaines a lot with guests including Lord Lonsdale! All in all quite a character. She had no children. I couldn't find her in 1901."
