Web Browsers

To look at pages on the World Wide Web, you need to have a browser installed on your computer.

The two most popular ones are Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Netscape Navigator can be bought at any computer store (often as part of the package Netscape Communicator, which gives you e-mail capabilities as well).

Internet Explorer used to come as part of any Microsoft software package. Both can be downloaded from the web.

Sites to look at for copies of these browsers are:
http://www.tucows.com
http://home.netscape.com
http://www.microsoft.com.

Home pages contain links to other information about the company/person/charity etc.

Clicking on the Home button on the toolbar will return you to your browser's home page.

Re-Loading Pages

If a page gets garbled on the way to your computer screen, reload it by pressing the Refresh or Reload button.

You can also use these buttons to load a page that you interrupted (by clicking the Stop button).
